Americanization: Hayworth's Creed

I have to blog this before being done tonight.

I don't know a lot about Harry Mitchell yet, other than he's the Arizona Democrat candidate challenging the crooked incumbent lunatic J.D Hayworth. If I lived in Tempe, Scottsdale or Phoenix's northeast suburbs I wouldn't hesitate for a mmoment to vote for Mitchell. Hayworth is a cut below your garden variety corrupt Republican rubber stamp, a true monstrosity and one of the most corrupt of the lot, purchased long ago by Jack Abramoff for something like $150,000, so not just a dirty whore, but a bargain basement dirty whore.

Beloved by right-wing propaganda agents like O'Reilly, Ingraham and Hannity (who "wrote" the intro to Hayworth's xenophobic book, WHATEVER IT TAKES), Hayworth defines rubber stamp Republican, although when Bush's ratings began to tank, he was the very first rat to desert the sinking ship, publicly telling his fearless leader to please stay away from AZ-05. He and the little wife have a real self-enrichment racket going for themselves ala Mr and Mrs DeLay, Mr. or Mrs. Doolittle and other Republicrooks who hide behind their wives' skirts in their larceny or-- as in the case of Crazy Curt Weldon (R-PA), behind his daughters' skirt.

Neo-fascist publishing house, Regnery, put out Hayworth's ghost-written anti-immigrant screed a kind of love paean to actual (instead of "neo") Nazi, Henry Ford. The book is, more than anything else Hayworth's endorsement of Ford's so-called "Americanization," the 30's anti-Jew hysteria similar to exactly the same as Hayworth's anti-immigrant jihad today. Judge for yourself:

Henry Ford, a leader in [the Americanization] movement, said, "These men of many nations must be taught American ways, the English language, and the right way to live." Talk like that today and our liberal elites will brand you a cultural imperialist, or worse. But if you ask me, Ford had a better idea. Sadly, Americanization has given way to an insidious multiculturalism, the noxious idea that all cultures are equally valid and worthy... Henry Ford must be spinning in his grave.

But if multiculturalism and diversity are valued above all else, the answer is you can assimilate however you want, or not at all.

Ford was a pro-Hitler, hate-spewing and raving anti-semite, one of the most anti-American plutocrats in the history of our nation, a disgrace to the country that nurtured his rise to unparalleled wealth. As J.D. Hayworth well knows Ford outlined his "Americanization" program in his best known work, THE INTERNATIONAL JEW. This is something that Hayworth never wants to talk about, at least not publicly where voters may discover what this racist shit-eater is really made of.

Indeed, it is such a statement as the Gentile mind could not have evolved, because the trend of Gentile feeling is all in the opposite direction, namely that Americanization is a good thing for the Jew. It is from authoritative Jewish sources we learn this fact, that what we call civilizing influences are looked upon as being at enmity with Judaism. It is not the Gentile who says that Jewish ideals, as ideals, are incompatible with the life of our country; it is the Jew who says so. It is he who inveighs against Americanism, not the American who inveighs against Judaism. Americanism is yet unfinished, Judaism has been complete for centuries. While no American would think of pointing to any part of the country or to any group as representing the true and final type of Americanism, the Jews quite unhesitatingly point to parts of the world and to certain groups as representing the true type of Judaism.

To "Americanize" means, in our ordinary speech, to bring into sympathy with the traditions and institutions of the United States, but the Jews do not mean only the United States when they say "America." They mean also South and Central America-- where so many revolutions have occurred. There are large numbers of Jews in Argentina, and many are found in other countries. It would probably give a wrong slant to the fact to say that the Jewish leaders are wholly anti-America, but it is true to say that they are against the "Americanization" of the Jewish immigrant stream. That is, that the trend of "Americanism" is so different from the trend of "Judaism" that the two are in conflict. This does not indicate treason toward American nationalisms perhaps, so much as it indicates loyalty toward Jewish nationalism.

And Ford made plenty of similarly xenophobic, racist and antisemitic outburts throughout THE INTERNATIONAL JEW, outburst that seem to have informed and inspired an adoring acolyte, Arizona's most clueless, hate-filled congressloon, J.D. Hayworth.

A few days ago Arizona's Jewish News warned its readers about the dangers inherent in re-electing Hayworth. Like myself, they were shocked and worried about Hayworth's ringing endorsement of Ford and his "Americanization" scheme. "The ever-so-successful process that used to be called 'Americanization' was a major movement in the early 1900s ... Henry Ford, a leader in this movement, said, 'These men of many nations must be taught American ways, the English language, and the right way to live.' Talk like that today and our liberal elites will brand you a cultural imperialist, or worse. But if you ask me, Ford had a better idea." Hayworth's Jewish constituents don't think so. The Jewish News calls their congressman to task for not looking into it more carefully before publishing it.

Ford's belief in a Jewish world conspiracy led him to spread such bile, including "The Protocols of the Learned Elders of Zion," that the American Jewish Committee and the Anti-Defamation League finally negotiated an agreement with him that "articles reflecting on the Jews" would never again appear in the Dearborn Independent, a newspaper Ford owned. He claimed that he himself had been too busy to read the pieces that bore his name - a contention that Louis Marshall, chairman of the AJC at the time (and grandfather of Valley resident Jonathan Marshall), called "humiliating."

According to the AJHS site, Ford later claimed that his signature on the agreement with Marshall had been forged, and that Jewish bankers had caused World War II.

We're not saying that Hayworth is anti-Semitic - only that he should choose his heroes more carefully. One has only to listen to the broadcasts of Ford's friend and fellow Detroit resident Father Charles E. Coughlin to understand the ignorance at work in the kind of thinking Ford espoused. Or read the words of F.D.R.'s Secretary of the Interior, Harold L. Ickes, in response to news that Ford had received a medal from Adolf Hitler and refused to return it: "How can any American accept a decoration from the hand of a brutal dictator who, with that same hand, is robbing and torturing thousands of fellow human beings?"

Whatever it takes, J.D.? To that we say, with the accompanying dismissive hand gesture, "Whatever."

Let's keep in mind from whence J.D. Hayworth has chosen to draw his inspiration for his work and his bizarre mindset when it's time to go to the polls in November. And let's remember, that whatever it takes, retiring J.D. Hayworth is worth the effort.
